Kousaido's Waki incense series is inspired by three native Japanese trees. Keyaki incense derives its fragrance from the Zelkova tree which has a mild, earthy scent. The Zelkova trees are known for lining the streets in Japan and when burnt, this incense smells as though you've stepped into the street just as a gust of wind blows in your direction. It's really fresh and woody, but light and subtle too.
